About Chalet Les Forclettes
If you’ve ever dreamed of cosying up in a luxury cabin in the mountains, and chilling out with your loved ones, in front of a roaring log fire, or surveying the stunning scenery from an outdoor hot tub, Chalet Les Forclettes is for you.
Set in the beautiful Prodains vallée area of Morzine, you can ski to the door of this newly-renovated chalet, and the Prodains lift, giving direct access to Avoriaz, and the huge Portes du Soleil area, is just a five minute walk away, as are the bars and restaurants of the area.
With 3-4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and roomy living areas, this versatile chalet can comfortably accommodate a maximum of eight to ten people, with more than enough space for everyone to kick back and relax after a day on the mountain.
Chalet Les Forclettes is located right next to our other chalet, Haut-Forts, which also has an outdoor hot tub, and is almost identical in terms of size, layout and design.
After a hard day on the mountain, Chalet Les Forclettes offers you a choice — do you and your family and friends sit in the hot tub, or on the large sunny terrace, gazing out over the majestic mountain panorama? Or do you settle in to one of the cosy sofas, and pop some music on the Bluetooth speaker while you watch the flames from the real log fire dance and talk about the day’s adventures?
Fancy watching a film instead? No problem, there’s an Ultra HD Smart TV with Netflix app and a Blu-ray DVD player, so there’ll always be something to watch. (And a second chill-out area, set in a cabin room, also has a flat screen TV with Blu-ray player and an Xbox One, so nobody has to fight over the remote.)
When dinner time rolls around, the fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to conjure up a meal that will satisfy even the heartiest of appetites. As well as everything you’d expect — a fridge freezer, oven, oversized 4-ring induction hob, microwave, dining table seating up to ten — you’ll also find a Nespresso machine and a dishwasher. So nobody draws the short straw and has to wash up, and everyone can linger that little bit longer over a coffee, or something stronger.
Mornings are just as easy — the local boulangerie will deliver fresh bread and pastries to the door so breakfast is a breeze. And with three bathrooms — two with showers and one with a full size bath and over-head shower — there shouldn’t be any squabbles over who’s next in line.
The three bedrooms have balconies and offer versatile sleeping arrangements that can be configured to suit your group’s needs. Bedroom one is a double room which can be made up as either two single beds or one double. The second and third bedrooms are triple rooms and can be made up as either three single beds or a double and single bed. And, if you still need more space, the cabin room games lounge can be used as a fourth bedroom that sleeps two.
All the rooms are simply furnished, but cosy, with a decent amount of storage space (although the chalet also has a ski locker, boot dryers and a drying room for any soggy kit, and there’s also a washing machine and tumble dryer so you can pack light and take home clean, dry clothes.)
Regular free resort buses pass just outside the chalet every ten minutes to take you to and from Morzine resort centre (which is a five minute ride away).
