About Chalet Haut-Forts
Whether you want to cosy up on the sofa with your loved ones in front of a roaring log fire, or ease the aches and pains of a day on the mountain in an outdoor hot tub with breath-taking mountain views, Chalet Haut-Forts has something for you.
Not only can you ski right to the door of this recently renovated chalet, set in the Prodains vallée area of Morzine, but the high-speed Prodains lift, which takes you to the heart of Avoriaz and gives access to the entire Portes du Soleil area is a mere five minute’s walk away, with the area’s bars and restaurants just as close.
Whether you’re a group of friends or a few families holidaying together, the 3-4 versatile bedrooms of this chalet, its excellent 1:1 bedroom to bathroom ratio and spacious living areas make for the ultimate low-stress, hassle-free holiday.
Chalet Haut-Forts is located right next to our other chalet, Les Forclettes, which also has its own outdoor hot tub, and is almost identical in terms of size, layout and design.
What’s your idea of the perfect après? A soak in the outdoor hot tub, overlooking the stunning mountains beyond? A drink on the terrace in the sun? Or a bit of hunkering down on a sofa and shooting the breeze in front of a roaring log fire, with some decent tunes on the Bluetooth speaker dock? Chalet Haut-Forts has it all.
And while the local bars and restaurants are just a few moments away, if you fancy a quiet night in with a movie, there’s an Ultra HD Smart TV with Netflix app and a Blu-ray DVD player. Plus a second chill-out area in a cabin room, with its own flat screen TV, Blu-ray player and Xbox One, so no arguments over what to watch.
We’ve also got all your meals covered too — the local boulangerie will deliver fresh bread and pastries to the door every morning, while the fully-equipped kitchen has all you need for memorable meals around the 10-seater dining table.
Not only have you got everything you’d expect — fridge freezer, oven, XL 4-ring induction hob, microwave — but a few little luxuries that make life easier – such as a Nespresso machine for an easy caffeine kickstart in the mornings, and a dishwasher so nobody’s landed with the washing up, and you can take your time over dessert — or cheese — or just another glass of French wine.
Whatever the make up of your party, the bedrooms can be adapted to work for you. There are three en-suite bedrooms, all with balconies. Bedroom one is a double room that can be made up with two single beds or one double. Bedroom two is a family/quad room with a mezzanine level and can be configured as either four single beds or one double and two single beds. Bedroom three is a triple room and can be made up with either three single beds or a double and a single. Need more space? The cabin room chill-out area, which also has its own en-suite bathroom, can be made up to sleep a further two guests.
The rooms are simple but cosy in a contemporary mountain style, with plenty of space to store your stuff — although an in house washing machine means you can pack light if you want to, and a ski locker, boot dryers and a drying room take care of any soggy kit.
Regular free resort buses pass just outside the chalet every ten minutes to take you to and from Morzine resort centre, which is a five minute ride away.
