We’d recommend you start your days at Apartment Edelweiss on the spacious terrace, which is perfectly positioned for watching the sun rise, with a coffee in your hand — a Nespresso machine makes that the work of seconds. You can check to see if the Pleney lift has started to run — it’s literally 40 metres away — and get an idea of the weather on the mountain.
Too cold? Move inside where the underfloor heating keeps everything toasty. The huge windows of the comfortable living space give exactly the same view, so settle at the dining table that comfortably sits eight, and if you’re really lucky, someone will take advantage of the fully-equipped kitchen and whip up a full English. After all, there’s a fridge freezer, oven, 4-ring induction hob and microwave — and there’s even a dishwasher so no need to wash up before heading out for the day.
The ski-in, ski-out location offers the ultimate in convenience. All you have to do when you get in at the end of the day is stash your skis in the on-site locker (or your bikes in the secure storage) and your wet kit in the drying room. Then just choose between curling up on the sofa and enjoying a movie night on the flat screen TV with Blu-ray DVD player, or walking two minutes down the road to some of Morzine’s great après bars and restaurants.
The three large bedrooms, two with their own south-west facing balconies, can be made up to best suit the composition of your group — one room sleeps two, and can be made up as a double or a twin, the other two sleep three and can be configured as a double and a single or as three singles.
Two bathrooms — one with a shower, one with a full size bath (and a washing machine) — mean that whether you need a quick spritz in the morning to wake you up, or a long soak to ease the aches of the day, you’ve got all the options.
The Pleney lift giving access to the Morzine and Les Gets ski area is mere moments away but if you want to explore further afield, the Super Morzine lift, which will take you to Avoriaz and the rest of the Portes Du Soleil area, is a five minutes walk, or the bus stop, serving both the Super Morzine lift and Prodains (for direct access to Avoriaz) is round the corner.
Need space for more friends and family? Take a look at our other apartments within this chalet — Gentianes (sleeps up to 4 people) and Rhodos (sleeps up to 5 people) — together the three make an excellent choice for groups of up to 17 looking for modern, ski-in, ski-out, self-catered accommodation.
