A holiday at Chalet Bech’na is all about relaxation. We’ve thought about all the things that can cause stress on a ski holiday and just magicked them away. For a start, a heated ski-in, ski-out locker at the bottom of the Pleney piste — and our first morning kit drop off service — means that nothing has to be carted from chalet to slope — that means no hauling around your poles, helmets, skis and boards, and no walking in ski boots! That’s something that should put a smile on everyone’s face, whether you’re a parent of young children, or just someone who likes to be able to head out on an après session without worrying about making sure all your kit makes it home with you at the end of the night.
Bringing a car? No problem, not only is there ample parking at the chalet, but you’ll also get free access to private parking opposite the tourist office in the centre of town, just moments from both the Pleney lift, giving access to the Morzine/Les Gets ski area, and the Super Morzine lift for access to Avoriaz and the whole of the rest of the magnificent Portes du Soleil area. No car? No worries. The free resort buses pass the chalet every 20 minutes to take you to and from Morzine centre and the lifts, in just a few minutes.
Meanwhile back at the chalet, there’s a luxury XL hot tub on the sunny terrace, with plenty of space for everyone to ease the aches and pains of a day on the hill while admiring the panoramic mountain views.
Suitably relaxed, it’s time to sink into one of the huge sofas and enjoy the comprehensive entertainment system. Whether you just want some background music while you discuss the day’s adventures, or you’re settling in for a movie night, the 65” Ultra HD TV with Netflix app, Xbox One, top end Denon amplifier and KEF 7.1 surround sound speakers has it covered.
As you’d expect in such a hi-spec chalet, the spacious, designer kitchen has everything you need, whether you’re cooking up a full English in the morning (accompanied by fresh bread and croissants from the local boulangerie that delivers daily to the door) or a three course extravaganza. As well as everything you’d expect — fridge freezer, oven, XL 4-ring induction hob, microwave, dining table that comfortably seats twelve — there’s also a Nespresso machine for a quick caffeine hit as required, and a dishwasher, so nobody gets landed with the washing up, and there’s no reason not to linger over an extra glass of wine.
Note: Unfortunately this chalet is not suitable for mountain bikers.
