We can’t talk about this apartment without talking about the location. A 60-second walk takes you to the Super Morzine lift that gives access to Avoriaz and the whole of the Portes du Soleil area, the local supermarket, and boulangerie are just two minutes away and, for the nights you can’t be bothered to cook, some of the town’s best bars and restaurants are almost on your doorstep.
The double-aspect living area has stunning mountain views, with the large L-shaped sofa positioned perfectly for admiring the scenery with a glass of red in hand, listening to your favourite tunes.
And a well-equipped kitchen makes cooking up something tasty from the excellent local produce (there’s an amazing cheese shop and butchers almost across the road) an absolute breeze — and with a Nespresso machine and dishwasher, not only are there no fights about who does the washing up, but you can relax over a cup of excellent coffee instead.
After dinner, if the bars of Morzine don’t appeal, hunker down in front of the latest Netflix release on the HD TV or just slope off to one of the comfortable bedrooms. The two double rooms both have large, en-suite bathrooms, while the twin room is ideally suited for children.
Decent amounts of storage in all rooms mean ample space for stashing your stuff — although there’s a washing machine and tumble dryer if you’d rather pack light, and a ski locker and boot dryer which keeps soggy kit out of the way.
If you’re travelling as a larger group, it’s worth knowing that there are three other Télébenne apartments within the same building that can sleep a total of 30 people in all. And, if you love the location and the style of Apartment Télébenne 1 but it’s booked up for the week you had in mind, do take a look at Apartments Télébenne 2 or Télébenne 3 — it’s just next door and offers very similar amenities and accommodation.
